Davies New Media, Inc. first got its feet wet producing for the World Wide Web in January, 1995. Led by Evan Davies, the company's founder, DNM grew into one of the top web design and development shops in the Mid-Atlantic region. Davies New Media designed, developed and hosted web sites for clients located throughout the United States, and even across the Atlantic Ocean with clients in the United Kingdom and France.
At the company's height, DNM was a tightly-woven team of six producers plus our ever-valuable accountant. It would be difficult to pin down the exact number of web sites that DNM designed and developed over the eleven years in business, but a conservative estimate would be at least 130, for more than 80 individual clients. (see DNM's client list.)
In January of 2006, a most difficult decision was made to close the company down for good. The web development business had changed so dramaticly since 2001 that DNM could no longer support the elite team of people working on "The Island". The reasons were many, not the least of which were: the ever increasing number of companies offering the same services, and an increasing number of clients and potential clients taking care of web development in-house. It also seemed that the "perception of value" had changed for what actually goes into developing a well designed and developed web site.
Davies New Media, Inc. was a full-service provider of interactive marketing solutions -- concentrating on the design and development of web sites, corporate Intranets and e-commerce solutions. The entire staff was well versed in combining marketing savvy with the technical "know-how" needed for creating and implementing innovative, interactive media.
DNM was at the time, and in some ways, the marketing agency of the future -- a "hybrid". The company combined a unique mixture of technical programming expertise and marketing proficiency. All of DNM's key staff had advertising and account management backgrounds in addition to being skilled graphic designers and computer programmers. This made the team unique and set Davies New Media apart from other Internet development companies.

While Davies New Media is no longer in business, this web site will remain online as a tribute to the crew members that served here on The Island during those fantastic and fun years. There's no doubt that DNM had the ultimate "dream team". Without these talented individuals, DNM would never have had the incredible success that the whole crew enjoyed through their ten year journey together.
